‘Tis the season — though I’m not sure why. (Should I be offended at Santa Claus showing up before Halloween?) Anyway, some retailers got in trouble with consumers this week for jokes that misfired. Target is selling an “obsessive Christmas disorder” sweater that, its detractors say, makes light of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD, to you).  A few days later Nordstrom’s unveiled its “Chai Maintenance, Hannukah J.A.P.” sweater. Santa is keeping mum on that one, but apparently enough others have weighed in that it’s pulled the item from stores. Sure to be a collector’s item.
